You cannot automatically return your car simply for thinking it is a lemon. You will have to allow the manufacturer or the authorized dealer a reasonable number of attempts to address the defect. If they cannot fix it, then you may be entitled to a buyback, vehicle replacement, or cash settlement under Californiaโs Lemon Law.
