Position Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with discovery experience, as well as litigation support professionals looking to further their careers in employment law.
Responsibilities
- Assist with propounding and responding to written discovery in compliance with the California Code of Civil Procedure.
- Draft discovery responses, correspondence, and other litigation-related documents under attorney supervision.
- Track discovery deadlines and ensure timely completion of all discovery obligations.
- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing trial exhibits and trial binders.
- Communicate with clients to obtain information and documentation necessary for discovery responses.
- Coordinate with opposing counsel regarding discovery requests, responses, and deadlines.
- Maintain accurate and organized case files using Filevine or similar case management software.
- Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys as needed.
Key Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in discovery, litigation support, or a legal administrative role preferred
- Employment law experience is preferred; however, candidates with experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, civil litigation, or other litigation practice areas are encouraged to apply
- Experience assisting with written discovery, including drafting, organizing, and responding to discovery requests
- Working knowledge of the California Code of Civil Procedure relating to discovery is strongly preferred
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Filevine or other case management software is a plus
- This is a fully onsite position. Remote and hybrid work arrangements are not available
Hourly Range: $18.00-$28.00 per hour
