Personal Injury Firm
On January 14, Meat Loaf, whose real name is Michael Lee Aday, filed a lawsuit against the Hyatt hotel chain and Texas Frightmare Weekend for negligence. The singer attended the horror convention in May of last year. During Meat Leaf’s Q&A session, he allegedly tripped over loose wires that were hidden at the end of the stage. This is identified as a hidden hazard issue.
The vocalist suffered from severe collarbone, shoulder, and neck injuries. According to the complaint, Meat Loaf is unable to participate in future performances due to the injuries he sustained from the fall. He seeked immediate medical care and was hospitalized for 42 days. The singer must now attend physical therapy to continue with his treatment plan.
The Hyatt Corporation has yet to make a statement on the ongoing litigation. Additionally, the organizer of Texas Frightmare Weekend has also not made any comments regarding the incident.
