Toni es abogada litigante en Abogados de la Costa Oeste. Se graduó con honores de la Universidad Estatal de Nuevo México, donde estudió Gobierno y Estudios de Género. Luego pasó a obtener una licenciatura en derecho con una concentración de interés público en la Facultad de Derecho de Loyola. Durante su tiempo allí, Toni fue editora de la Revista de derecho internacional y comparado de Loyola, e hizo trabajo clínico con el Proyecto de justicia de consecuencias colaterales de la condena de Loyola, donde brindó representación legal gratuita a personas que buscaban eliminar o sellar sus condenas penales anteriores.

En su último año de la facultad de derecho, Toni trabajó como asistente legal bajo los abogados senior de Abogados de la Costa Oeste. Aquí descubrió que representar a los demandantes en litigios civiles podía cumplir su deseo de servir a los necesitados.
