According to the Press Enterprise, a 38-year-old woman was struck and killed in a pedestrian accident as she was crossing the street in Perris on Monday, April 3, 2018.
The fatal pedestrian accident occurred around 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of Ramona Expressway and Perris Boulevard, when she was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk, and was struck by a vehicle.
The woman was transported to a nearby hospital where she later died.
The pedestrian accident victim has not been identified.
The driver of the vehicle, who was uninjured, remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
Alcohol or drugs were not expected to have been a factor in the fatal pedestrian accident.
