According to the Sacramento Bee, a woman was killed in a car accident caused by a drunk driver in Rancho Cordova on Wednesday, May 23, 2018.
The fatal car accident was reported around 11:09 p.m. near the intersection of International Drive and South White Rock Road.
Once authorities arrived to the scene of the car accident, they found two badly damaged vehicles and noticed a man walking away from the scene. The man, identified as a 41-year-old from Stockton, was arrested for suspicion of drunk driving.
Authorities found a woman, who has not been identified, unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The fatal car accident remains under investigation.
