Woman killed by DUI driver in Victorville pedestrian accident

According to the Press-Enterprise, a woman was killed in a pedestrian accident caused by a man driving under the influence in Victorville on Sunday, February 11, 2018.

The deadly pedestrian accident was reported around 8:30 p.m. near Palmdale and Emerald roads, when Sandra Leon Pasillas, 62, of Victorville, was struck and killed by a 22-year-old DUI driver identified as Manuel Salvador Flores.

Flores was driving a Ford pickup truck when he crossed over into the opposite side of the road and struck the pedestrian.

He was arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while driving under the influence of alcohol and booked at Adelanto Detention Center with a bail set at $250,000.
