Woman injured in West Covina pedestrian accident

According to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, a 56-year-old woman was seriously injured after she was struck by a suspected DUI driver in a pedestrian accident on Thursday, June 7, 2018 in West Covina.

The pedestrian accident occurred around 5:35 a.m., when Dominic Juan Orozco crashed into a wall, the front yard of a home, and eventually struck the victim, who was walking on the sidewalk. The pedestrian accident took place near South Neff Avenue and East Merced Avenue.

The victim sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. Her condition remains unknown.

The DUI driver, Orozco, sustained minor injuries and was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and on suspicion of driving under the influence of marijuana.
