According to the OC Register, actor and comedian Will Ferrell was hospitalized after a serious car accident on the I-5 Freeway in Mission Viejo on Thursday, April 12, 2018.
Ferrell was a passenger in the chauffeur-driven SUV, along with three others, when an alleged fatigued driver in a sedan struck the SUV.
Due to the impact, the SUV hit the center divider and flipped over.
Three people in the SUV, including Ferrell, sustained minor injuries, and another passenger in the SUV, a 27-year-old female, sustained major injuries.
According to authorities, the 27-year-old woman, who sustained serious injuries, was not wearing a seatbelt.
According to authorities, Ferrell and his colleague, Andrew Steele, have been released from the hospital and are in good condition.
Ferrell’s long-time driver, Mark Thompson and another colleague Carolina Barlow are still in the hospital and are in stable condition.
The condition of the sedan driver is unknown.
Alcohol or drugs are not believed to have been a factor in the serious car accident. No arrests have been made.
