Liability In Car Accidents At Apartments
Drivers have a responsibility to operate their vehicles in a reasonably safe manner and to take steps to avoid collisions. In a number of scenarios drivers can become distracted by their cell phone or GPS. Generally speaking, elderly drivers are much more likely to drive through storefronts or into buildings. These drivers may experience “pedal confusion” and hit the accelerator when they meant to hit the brakes.
There is an abundance of new technology coming out to help prevent these kind of accidents. For example, a number of new cars come with collision avoidance systems that will automatically brake before the car hits something. A number of stores also have bollard posts which are designed to prevent cars from traveling to certain areas. Victims of car accidents have the ability to file a personal injury claim for damages.
