One Person Injured In Weaverville Hit-And-Run Car Accident On Highway 299 By Court Street
WEAVERVILLE, CALIFORNIA (July 31, 2019) – At least one person was injured in a hit-and-run car accident by the intersection of Highway 299 and Court Street.
California Highway Patrol are saying that the accident took place around 9:29 a.m. on Monday. Firefighters were called to the scene in order to help all of the victims.
At least one person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver that hit the victim fled the scene following the accident.

According to California Vehicle Code 20001, “(a) The driver of a vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury to a person, other than himself or herself, or in the death of a person shall immediately stop the vehicle at the scene of the accident and shall fulfill the requirements of Sections 20003 and 20004.” Any person that is injured due to the negligence of another driver may have legal recourse through a bodily injury claim.
