Pedestrian Killed In Wasco Car Accident On Highway 43 By Jackson Avenue
WASCO, CALIFORNIA (October 14, 2019) – A pedestrian was hit and killed in a car accident on Highway 43 north of Jackson Avenue.
California Highway Patrol are saying that the accident took place around 7:00 p.m. For reasons that remain under investigation, a car struck the pedestrian.
Paramedics were called to the scene in order to help the victim. They were later pronounced dead due to their injuries.
An investigation into the accident remains ongoing at this time.

According to California Vehicle Code 21950, “The driver of a vehicle shall yield the right-of-way to a pedestrian crossing the roadway within any marked crosswalk or within any unmarked crosswalk at an intersection, except as otherwise provided in this chapter.” The family of any victim that died in a pedestrian accident may have legal recourse through a wrongful death claim.
