Victorville police are saying that the car accident took place around 4:30 p.m. Paramedics rushed to the Bingo Hall and they came across a woman laying down next to a 3003 Lincoln Town Car.

Liability In Parking Lot Accidents

Parking lots can be extremely dangerous places for pedestrians. Drivers often speed or fail to keep an eye out for all of the people there. People can walk in and out behind parked vehicles making it very difficult for drivers. This is why it’s so important to slow down in parking lots.

Drivers have a legal responsibility to keep an eye out for pedestrians even when they are outside lawfully marked crosswalks. According to California Vehicle Code 21950, “The driver of a vehicle approaching a pedestrian within any marked or unmarked crosswalk shall exercise all due care and shall reduce the speed of the vehicle or take any other action relating to the operation of the vehicle as necessary to safeguard the safety of the pedestrian.”

Any person that is injured in a car accident may have legal recourse through a bodily injury claim. Damages can help cover lost wages, medical bills and pain and suffering. A pedestrian accident attorney can examine all of the facts of your case and let you know what your legal options are. It doesn’t cost anything to hire an attorney and they can help ensure that you get the medical and financial support that you deserve.
