Vehicle goes airborne in Santa Ana car accident

According to ABC 7, two people were injured after a car went airborne and crashed into the second floor of a dental office in Santa Ana on Sunday, January 14, 2018.

The bizarre car accident occurred around 5:30 a.m. near the intersection of 17th and French streets.

The driver of a white Nissan Altima hit a raised median while speeding, causing the vehicle to go airborne and slam into the second floor of a building.

The driver and the passenger in the car sustained minor injuries and were treated at a local hospital. The driver admitted to being under the influence and was later arrested. The suspected DUI driver has not been identified.

Authorities have not clarified if there was anyone in the building at the time of the car accident.
