Van Nuys authorities are saying that the accident took place around 4:50 a.m. Firefighters and paramedics rushed to the scene of the accident in order to help the victim.

Liability In Train Accidents
Trains can be deceptively dangerous. A number of accidents occur when people misjudge their speeds or are otherwise not paying attention around the train tracks. But there are a whole host of scenarios where a train operator or a city may face civil liability in the event of an accident. For instance, engineers are required to use their horn and apply their brakes when they see someone on the tracks. Even if a person deliberately lays down on a set of train trucks this does not give the conductor license to run them over without care.
A dangerous condition at a train crossing could impose liability on a city. For example, if a crossing arm didn’t properly close this could contribute to an accident. Any victims may be able to recover damages by filing a bodily injury claim. A bicycle accident attorney can investigate your case free of charge and let you know what your options are.
