Liability In Pedestrian Accidents
It is a felony to flee the scene of an accident that causes major injuries. According to California Vehicle Code 20001, “The driver of a vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury to a person, other than himself or herself, or in the death of a person shall immediately stop the vehicle at the scene of the accident and shall fulfill the requirements of Sections 20003 and 20004.” Victims of pedestrian accidents often suffer from very serious injuries including:
- Head injuries
- Back injuries
