Jason McGowan Napa: Jason McGowan from Vacaville, Rafael Carbajal-Avbila From Fairfield Injured In Napa Car Accident On Highway 29 South of Highway 221

NAPA, CALIFORNIA (August 13, 2019) – Two people identified as Jason McGowan and Rafael Carbajal-Avbila were injured in a car accident on Highway.

California Highway Patrol are saying that the accident took place around 5:30 a.m. A 36-year-old man was unable to stop his vehicle in time and rear-ended a car being driven by Jason McGowan.

The force of the impact then pushed that car into a vehicle being driven by Rafael Carbajal-Avbila. Neither alcohol nor drugs are suspected to have been involved in the crash.

Paramedics rushed to the scene and treated Jason McGowan and Rafael Carbajal-Avbila for their injuries. An investigation into the cause of the car accident continues.

Liability In Car Accidents

Drivers are supposed to regulate their speed and maintain a safe distance wit the vehicle ahead of them. According to California Vehicle Code 22350, “No person shall drive a vehicle upon a highway at a speed greater than is reasonable or prudent having due regard for weather, visibility, the traffic on, and the surface and width of, the highway, and in no event at a speed which endangers the safety of persons or property.”

If a driver rear-ends another car that is fairly strong evidence that they were driving too fast for conditions, distracted or intoxicated. The victims of car accidents may have legal recourse through a bodily injury claim. Damages in a civil claim can help cover lost wages, medical bills and pain and suffering. A car accident attorney can examine all of the facts of your case and let you know what your options are.
