Liability In Scooter Accidents
Scooters for rent are relatively new in San Diego and Los Angeles County. Companies like Bird and Lime have put these scooters within easy reach for consumers. Anyone can ride by downloading the app and paying a small price. Think of Uber, but for scooters. Cities have become irked by the presence of these scooters – claiming that they are a nuisance and safety hazard.
One of the major problems with these scooters is that they have had issues with durability. Accelerators have stuck. Brakes have failed. Stems have come apart mid ride. Any person that is injured in a scooter accident may have the ability to file a personal injury claim for damages. A scooter accident attorney can evaluate the specific facts of your case and let you know if you have a claim that can be pursued.
