Child Injured in Lompoc Pedestrian Accident By Chestnut Avenue and M Street
LOMPOC, CALIFORNIA (September 4, 2019) – A 12-year-old girl was seriously injured in a car accident early Wednesday by the intersection of Chestnut Avenue and M Street.
Lompoc police are saying that the accident first took place around 7:40 a.m. as the girl was walking to school. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated.
Investigators are looking into whether or not the driver may have been using a cellphone. Paramedics rushed to the scene and transported the 12-year-old girl to the Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria.
An investigation into the accident remains ongoing at this time.
