MISSION BEACH, CALIFORNIA (June 26, 2019) – A 48-year-old man has tragically died after a Lime scooter accident on the Mission Beach Boardwalk.

Mission Beach police are saying that the accident happened around 1:30 p.m. The man was riding the Lime scooter when for unknown reasons there was a collision with a woman who was walking. 

The rider of the Lime scooter was ejected. The woman was knocked down. Firefighters and paramedics rushed to the scene in order to help the victims.

The man who fell off the scooter complained of chest pain before being taken to the hospital. Tragically, he later died due to his injuries. 

An investigation into the Mission Beach Boardwalk scooter accident remains ongoing.
