Three People Injured In Sylmar Car Accident By Hubbard Street and Jackman Avenue
SYLMAR, CALIFORNIA (August 15, 2019) – At least three people were injured in a car accident near the intersection of Hubbard Street and Jackman Avenue.
Police are saying that one driver ran a red light and struck a Ford Explorer that was in the intersection.The SUV rolled over and came to rest on its roof around 3:00 p.m.
A baby as well as a grandmother had to be rescued from the car. Three patients in total had to be transported to the hospital.

Drivers are supposed to yield the right of way to other vehicles when they have a red light. According to California Vehicle Code 21453, “A driver facing a steady circular red signal alone shall stop at a marked limit line, but if none, before entering the crosswalk on the near side of the intersection or, if none, then before entering the intersection, and shall remain stopped until an indication to proceed is shown, except as provided in subdivision (b).” Any person that runs a red light and causes an accident may be subject to civil liability.
