Liability In Car Accidents
Drivers have a legal responsibility to stay alert and stay in their lane. If a driver crosses a double yellow line and hits another vehicle head-on they will likely be found at fault. According to California Vehicle Code 21460, “If double parallel solid yellow lines are in place, a person driving a vehicle shall not drive to the left of the lines, except as permitted in this section.” The family of any victim that died in a head-on collision may have legal recourse through a wrongful death claim.
