Liability In Car Accidents
Drivers have a common law duty to operate their vehicles in a reasonably safe manner and to take steps to avoid accidents. If a driver gets distracted and rear-ends another vehicle they will typically be held at fault. But liability is not always straightforward. Police will often need to review traffic camera footage in order to determine liability. It’s important that drivers are familiar with right of way laws and consult the DMV rule handbook when something isn’t clear. Victims of car accidents or their family have the ability to file a personal injury claim in order to be compensated for damages. A car accident attorney can investigate your claim free of charge.
