Pedestrian Injured In Santa Cruz Hit-And-Run Accident By Cedar Street and Maple Street
SANTA CRUZ, CALIFORNIA (June 8, 2019) – A 55-year-old woman was critically injured in a car accident not far from the intersection of Cedar Street and Maple Street.
Santa Cruz police said that the collision took place June 5th around 7:12 p.m. Firefighters and paramedics rushed to the scene in order to help the victim.
They found her laying in the middle of the roadway and pinned under the vehicle that ran her over. She had to be rushed to a nearby hospital and listed in critical condition.
The suspect that hit her was reportedly jumping fences before being apprehended by police. An investigation into the cause of the accident remains ongoing at this time.
