San Ysidro MTS Trolley Accident: One Person Has Died After Being Hit By An Metropolitan Transit System Trolley Near The Intersection Of Beyer Boulevard and Smythe Avenue
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA (March 6, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by an MTS trolley by the intersection of Beyer Boulevard and Smythe Avenue.
Investigators are saying that the accident took place around 11:40 p.m. The intersection where the accident took place is not far from the trolley station.
Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene. Despite life-saving efforts, the pedestrian was later pronounced dead.
There is an ongoing investigation into the circumstances that led up to the crash.
