Liability In Space Heater Accidents
Space heaters can save people a lot of money on their utility bills. Instead of heating an entire apartment or house, these small portable units can heat individual rooms. However, a number of these units are dangerous and have been recalled. Here is a partial list of the space heaters that have been pulled off store shelves:
KUL Fan Heaters
CE North America Kul Fan Heaters
Portable Space Heaters
Sunbeam Oil-Filled Heater
Vornado Air Electric Space Heater
Sunbeam Holmes Ceramic Heaters
Dyson Portable Electric Heaters
Duraflame Electric Space Heaters
A number of these units overheat thereby creating a fire hazard. Generally speaking, when a company makes a product like a space heater and it malfunctions they can face liability if anyone is injured or killed. Companies are supposed to make products that are reasonably safe for consumers to use. A burn injury lawyer can investigate your claim and help you recover financial compensation if you’ve been injured by a faulty space heater.
