San Francisco Hit-And-Run Accident: 17-Year-Old Injured In Bayview Car Accident By La Salle Avenue and Cashmere Street

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA (September 19, 2019) – A 17-year-old boy was injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident by the intersection of La Salle Avenue and Cashmere Street.

San Francisco police are saying that the accident took place around 9:13 a.m. The driver that hit the victim fled the scene and is currently being pursued by police.

Liability In Hit-And-Run Accidents

It is a felony to flee the scene of an accident that causes bodily injury. According to California Vehicle Code 20001, “The driver of a vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury to a person, other than himself or herself, or in the death of a person shall immediately stop the vehicle at the scene of the accident and shall fulfill the requirements of Sections 20003 and 20004.”

Any person that is injured in a pedestrian accident may have legal recourse through a bodily injury claim. Damages can help cover a victim’s past, present and future medical bills. It’s important that evidence is preserved after an accident and that victims seek medical support. A pedestrian accident attorney can examine all of the facts of your case free of cost and let you know what your legal options are.
