Motorcyclist Killed In San Diego County Car Accident At Ocotillo Wells State Vehicular Recreation Area
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA (October 13, 2019) – A motorcyclist was tragically killed in a car accident at the Ocotillo Wells State Vehicular Recreation Area.
California Highway Patrol are saying that the accident took place around 3:15 p.m. For reasons that remain under investigation a Ford Explore collided with a motorcyclist.
Firefighters and paramedics were called to the area in order to help the victim. They rendered aid but the victim was pronounced dead.
The identity of the victim has not been released because his next of kin has not been notified.

There are a number of laws regarding how motorists should operate on highways and in urban area. Every driver is supposed to yield the right of way to oncoming vehicles before making left turns. According to California Vehicle Code 21801, “The driver of a vehicle intending to turn to the left or to complete a U-turn upon a highway, or to turn left into public or private property, or an alley, shall yield the right-of-way to all vehicles approaching from the opposite direction which are close enough to constitute a hazard at any time during the turning movement.” The family of any victim that died in a car accident may have legal recourse through a wrongful death claim.
