San Diego Ice-Cream Truck Accident: Ice-Cream Truck Accident Injured Pedestrian By Logan Heights Police Station Near 25th Street and Imperial Avenue
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA (June 26, 2019) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after they were hit by an ice-cream truck by a Thrifty gas station and the Logan Heights police station.
San Diego police are saying that the accident took place by the intersection of 25th Street and Imperial Avenue. Witnesses told police that the ice-cream truck driver cut through a thrifty store before hitting the Logan Heights police station.
The pedestrian that was injured jumped out of the ice-cream truck before the police station was hit. The truck was apparently going 40 – 50 mph before its brakes went out.
Police are saying that the force of the impact caused a power outage. An image of the Ice-Cream truck revealed that it belonged to Tropical Ice-Cream. A full investigation into the cause of the accident remains ongoing at this time.
