Liability In Fire Truck Accidents
Fire truck operators are able to seek worker’s compensation after an accident in order to help with medical bills and lost wages. It’s important to seek a physician after an accident and let them know that you were injured on the job. In many situations, worker’s compensation will not be the only remedy available to an injured worker. It may be possible for an injured worker to seek compensation through a third party negligence claim.
A third party claim may be possible when an entity separate from a worker’s employer contributes to an accident. For example, defects with a fire truck of the road could cause the vehicle to flip over. A truck accident attorney can examine all of the unique facts of your case and let you know if you have a claim that can be pursued. Damages in a third party claim can include compensation for lost wages, medical bills as well as pain and suffering.
