44-Year-Old Motorcyclist Injured In San Diego Car Accident On Market Street By 1st Avenue
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA (October 8, 2019) – A motorcyclist was injured in a hit-and-run car accident by the intersection of Market Street and 1st Avenue.
California Highway Patrol are saying that the accident took place around 2:20 a.m. on Saturday. A black sedan made a left turn into the path of the motorcyclist causing him to fall over.
The motorcyclist sustained a fractured wrist from the crash. The driver of the black sedan fled the scene and is currently being pursued by police.

All drivers are supposed to yield the right of way to other vehicles close enough so as to pose a hazard before making a left turn. According to California Vehicle Code 21801, “The driver of a vehicle intending to turn to the left or to complete a U-turn upon a highway, or to turn left into public or private property, or an alley, shall yield the right-of-way to all vehicles approaching from the opposite direction which are close enough to constitute a hazard at any time during the turning movement.” Any person that is injured in a hit-and-run accident may have legal recourse through a bodily injury claim.
