San Bernardino Sheriff’s Deputy attacked after car accident

According to KTLA, an off-duty San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputy was in a car accident and assaulted by the other driver, causing the off-duty deputy to die of his injuries in San Bernardino on Sunday, December 31, 2017.

The car accident happened New Year’s Eve morning, at the intersection of Kendall Drive and University Parkway, when San Bernardino County sheriff’s Deputy, identified as Lawrence Falce, was assaulted by the other driver involved in the car accident. For an unknown reason, the suspect severely injured Falce causing his death two days later.

The suspect, who has not been identified, was taken into custody. Falce, 70, was a 36-year-old veteran of the department. Prior to joining the Sheriff’s Department, Falce had served in the U.S. Army.
