Liability In Car Accidents
When a police officer is injured in California they will typically be able to file a worker’s compensation claim in order to help with medical bills and lost wages. In addition to pursuing a worker’s compensation claim, an injured worker may also be able to pursue a third-party liability claim in order to recover additional damages. A third party claim may be possible when an entity separate from a worker’s employer is responsible for accident. A third party may be a negligent driver that hit a police officer.
