Pedestrian Killed In Sacramento Hit-And-Run Accident On Roseville Road
SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA (September 22, 2019) – pedestrian was tragically killed in a hit-run accident along Roseville Road near Connie Drive.
California Highway Patrol are saying that the accident happened around 7:47 p.m. Police are saying that the pedestrian accident took place as a pickup truck was headed westbound.
Paramedics rushed to the scene in order to help the victim. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim later died due to their injuries.
Liability In Pedestrian Accidents
It is a felony to flee the scene of an accident that causes major bodily injury or death. According to California Vehicle Code 20001, “The driver of a vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury to a person, other than himself or herself, or in the death of a person shall immediately stop the vehicle at the scene of the accident and shall fulfill the requirements of Sections 20003 and 20004.” The family of any victim that died in a pedestrian accident may have legal recourse through California Code of Civil Procedure 377.60.
