One Person Injured In Sacramento Hit-And-Run Car Accident On Highway 51 By Marconi Avenue Offramp
SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA (October 12, 2019) – A motorcyclist was injured in a hit-and-run car accident on Highway 51 at the Marconi Avenue Offramp.
California Highway Patrol are saying that the accident took place around 3:03 p.m. For reasons that remain under investigation a Toyota 4 Runner collided with the motorcyclist.
The driver of the Toyota fled the scene and is currently being pursued by police. Paramedics were called to the scene of the accident in order to help the victim.
They were taken to the hospital in order to receive treatment.

It is a felony to flee the scene of an accident that results in bodily injury. According to California Vehicle Code 20001, “The driver of a vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury to a person, other than himself or herself, or in the death of a person shall immediately stop the vehicle at the scene of the accident and shall fulfill the requirements of Sections 20003 and 20004.” Any person that is injured in a hit-and-run accident may be able to seek damages through a bodily injury claim.
