Liability In Bicycle Accidents
Many bicyclists are injured every year due to drivers that fail to yield the right of way to them. According to California Vehicle Code 21950, “The driver of a vehicle shall yield the right-of-way to a pedestrian crossing the roadway within any marked crosswalk or within any unmarked crosswalk at an intersection, except as otherwise provided in this chapter.”
Any person that is injured in a bicycle accident may have the ability to recover damages through a bodily injury claim. A car accident attorney can examine all of the facts of your case and let you know what your options are. There are statute of limitations associated with being able to pursue a claim, so it’s important to act quickly.
