Liability In Motorcycle Accidents
Motorcycle riders are more likely to be involved in accidents because of their small profile. A number of accidents occur when drivers make unsafe lane changes. According to California Vehicle Code 22107, “No person shall turn a vehicle from a direct course or move right or left upon a roadway until such movement can be made with reasonable safety and then only after the giving of an appropriate signal in the manner provided in this chapter in the event any other vehicle may be affected by the movement.”
Any person that is injured in a motorcycle accident may have legal recourse through a bodily injury claim. Damages can help with medical bills, lost wages and pain and suffering. Many victims will not realize the full extent of their injuries until several weeks or months after an accident. A motorcycle accident attorney can examine all of the facts of your case and let you know what your rights are.
