Bicyclist Seriously Injured In Sacramento Hit-And-Run Car Accident By Cal Center and Drive Manlove Road
SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA (October 14, 2019) – A bicyclist was seriously injured in a car accident by the intersection of Cal Center and Drive Manlove Road.
California Highway Patrol are saying that the accident took place around 10:05 p.m. For reasons that remain under investigation a black colored car hit the bicyclist.
The victim was thrown off their bicycle and sustained a spinal injury. Paramedics rushed to the scene in order to take the bicyclist to the UC Davis Medical Center.

According to California Vehicle Code 21200, “A person riding a bicycle or operating a pedicab upon a highway has all the rights and is subject to all the provisions applicable to the driver of a vehicle by this division, including, but not limited to, provisions concerning driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages or drugs, and by Division 10.” Any bicyclist that is injured in a car accident may have legal recourse through a bodily injury claim.
