Both emergency vehicles were responding to a vehicle collision that occurred on the 91 Freeway not far from Adams Street. At least one AMR paramedic was injured from the resulting accident.

Liability In Emergency Vehicle Crashes
Emergency vehicles tend to have a great deal of immunity in the event of an accident. Fire trucks and ambulances can speed, go through lights and conduct all sorts of maneuvers that would otherwise be illegal for other motorists. But they have to use their emergency lights and sirens in order to warn other drivers about their presence.
If a fire department fails to use their lights and sirens to warn other motorists about their presence they are not immune from civil suit. They are generally held to the same standard as other drivers. Any person that is injured will be able to recover damages through a bodily injury claim. This can include money for lost wages, medical bills and pain and suffering. A car accident attorney can help you recover compensation for your injuries.
