Caltrain Engineer Injured In Redwood City Train Accident After He Was Hit By An Object That Fell Or Was Thrown At The Train
REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA (May 13, 2019) – A Caltrain engineer was seriously injured after he was hit by an object that was thrown at the train he was operating.
California Highway Patrol are saying that the accident took place around 6:30 p.m. not far from the Redwood City Station. The train was stopped as transit authorities investigated.
An ambulance was called to the scene in order to help the Caltrain engineer. An investigation into the source of the object that hit the victim remains ongoing at this time.
