Motor Coach Accident Seriously Injured One Person On Highway 50 By Whitehall Canyon In Pollock Pines
POLLOCK PINES, CALIFORNIA (July 31, 2019) – One person was injured in a car accident on Highway 50 not far from Whitehall Canyon.
California Highway Patrol are saying that the accident took place around 11:33 a.m. on Friday. One vehicle was t-boned after another car was attempting to make a left turn.
Witnesses are claiming that one of the vehicles rolled off the road as a result of the crash. The two vehicles are being described as a silver Toyota FJ Cruiser and a 34 foot Dutch Star motor coach.
The patient with serious injuries was taken to the Marshall Medical Center.

Drivers that are attempting to make a left turn must yield the right of way to other drivers that are close enough so as to pose a hazard. According to California Vehicle Code 21801, “The driver of a vehicle intending to turn to the left or to complete a U-turn upon a highway, or to turn left into public or private property, or an alley, shall yield the right-of-way to all vehicles approaching from the opposite direction which are close enough to constitute a hazard at any time during the turning movement.” Any person that is injured due to the negligence of another driver making a left turn may have legal recourse through a bodily injury claim.
