Child Injured In Petaluma Pedestrian Accident On Washington Street By Chevron Gas Station
PETALUMA, CALIFORNIA (August 30, 2019) – A child was injured in a pedestrian accident along Washington street not far from the Chevron Gas Station.
California Highway Patrol are saying that the accident took place around 5:15 p.m. For reasons that remain under investigation two vehicles collided.
A child passenger in one of the vehicles was injured. The driver that caused the accident fled the scene and was later arrested.

According to California Vehicle Code 20001, “The driver of a vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury to a person, other than himself or herself, or in the death of a person shall immediately stop the vehicle at the scene of the accident and shall fulfill the requirements of Sections 20003 and 20004.” Victims that flee the scene of an accident will likely face criminal and civil liability.
