According to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, a multiple-car crash occurred on the northbound 605 Freeway Friday morning, August 18, 2017. The collision occurred around 8:20 a.m. and caused four lanes of the northbound 605 Freeway to shut down. According to fire and CHP officials, three cars were involved in the accident and one person was taken to the hospital. The extent of the person’s injuries remains unknown.
According to officials, there was an earlier car accident that took place on the 605 Freeway that involved an overturned big rig but no one was hurt. The earlier incident caused the transition road to close from the eastbound 91 Freeway and the northbound 605 Freeway.
