Liability In Car Accidents
A car driving into a storefront may seem like a freak occurrence, but it is actually extremely common. A number of people are injured every year when drivers go into storefronts. These accidents typically involve elderly drivers that experience “pedal confusion.” In short, the driver gets confused and mistakes the gas pedal for the breaks.
Stores can actually help prevent these types of accidents. Bollard posts can be installed at the front of stores in order to prevent errant vehicles from entering. Any person that is injured in an accident due to the negligence of another driver may have legal recourse through a bodily injury claim. Damages in a civil claim can help victims recover money for medical bills, lost wages and pain and suffering. A car accident attorney can examine all of the facts of your case and let you know what your rights are.
