Middle School Student Killed in Montclair Pedestrian Accident

According to KTLA, a 11-year-old boy was struck and killed in a pedestrian vs. car accident on Thursday, September 6, 2018.

The fatal pedestrian accident occurred around 8 a.m. at the intersection of San Bernardino St. and Vernon Ave., just outside of Vernon Middle School, in Montclair, California. According to the Montclair Police Department, the young victim had been dropped off at school and was walking within a marked crosswalk when the large Chevrolet hit him.

The victim, who was a seventh grade student, suffered severe injuries to the head and later died in the hospital.

Detectives are still investigating what caused this devastating pedestrian accident.
