Santa Clarita Based Royal Cruise Investigated By FBI After Woman Died

MIAMI, FLORIDA (November 16, 2018) A 52-year-old woman has died aboard the Royal Princess cruise ship that was headed to Aruba.

The death was reported to the FBI and authorities in Aruba. There are reports that a man was arguing with the victim before she plunged from the upper portion of the cruise ship into a lifeboat.

The suspect is described as a “muscular” man who some say was choking the victim. Passengers were not allowed to leave the Royal Princess.

An investigation into the death of the woman remains ongoing at this time.

Liability In Deaths On Cruise Ships

Cruise ships provide transport to thousands of guests each trip. They have a responsibility to provide a reasonably safe environment for their guests. This includes protecting guests from assault and violent crime. Cruise ships should have security and other measures to help prevent assaults and other crimes. If a cruise ship company fails to provide guests with a reasonably safe environment and a guest is injured or killed they may face civil liability. A premises liability attorney can examine the specific facts of your case and let you know what your rights are.
