Merced Bicycle Accident: 13-Year-Old Boy Injured In Merced Bicycle Accident With Car By Yosemite Avenue and Paulson Road

MERCED, CALIFORNIA (September 19, 2019) – A 13-year-old boy was injured in a car accident while riding a bicycle near the intersection of Yosemite Avenue and Paulson Road.

Merced police are saying that the accident took place around 8:30 a.m. The victim was in the crosswalk when they were hit by a Toyota Tacoma making a right turn. 

Paramedics rushed to the scene in order to help the victim. He had to be airlifted to the Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera County in order to receive treatment for a major head injury. 

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police. Neither drugs nor alcohol are believed to have been factors in the crash.
