Man killed in Newport Beach motorcycle accident

According to ABC 7, a man was killed in a motorcycle accident in Newport Beach on Saturday, February 17, 2018.

The fatal motorcycle accident occurred around 10:11 a.m., when a white 2015 Mazda CX-5 and an orange 2014 Yamaha FZ-09 motorcycle collided at the intersection of Irvine Avenue and Orchard Drive.

The driver of the Mazda, identified as a woman, was not hurt in the motorcycle accident involving a vehicle.

The motorcyclist, who has not been identified, was ejected from his motorcycle and sustained serious injuries. He was taken to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds one hour after the fatal motorcycle accident.

The cause of the motorcycle accident involving a vehicle remains under investigation.
