Man died after car accident involving multiple vehicles in Wagon Wheel

According to the OC Register, one person died and another was injured after a car accident involving multiple vehicles in Wagon Wheel on Monday, December 18, 2017. The car accident occurred around 11:20 a.m. when a Ford Econoline van was heading west on Oso Parkway, swerved into oncoming traffic, and collided with a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck and a Nissan Sentra. According to authorities, the van sideswiped the truck and the truck spun out. The van kept going and collided head-on with the Nissan. The Nissan spun out and the van flipped over.

Due to the severity of the car accident, the driver of the Nissan, who was identified as a man in his 50s, died at the scene. The driver of the van was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. The driver of the Toyota sustained minor injuries but did not need to go to the hospital.

The cause of the car accident remains unknown. Police are still investigating whether or not alcohol or drugs were involved in the car accident.
