Two Pedestrians Killed In Los Angeles Hit-And-Run Car Accident By Normandie Avenue And 95th Street
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (September 30, 2019) – Two pedestrians were tragically killed in a car accident by the intersection of Normandie Avenue and 95th Street.
California Highway Patrol are saying that the accident took place around 8:25 p.m. in the Westmont neighborhood. Two men were walking across the intersection when they were hit.
The driver that hit the victims did not stop and is currently being sought by police.

It is a felony to flee the scene of an accident that results in bodily injury. Drivers are also supposed to yield the right of way to pedestrians that are in lawfully marked crosswalks. According to California Vehicle Code 21950, “The driver of a vehicle shall yield the right-of-way to a pedestrian crossing the roadway within any marked crosswalk or within any unmarked crosswalk at an intersection, except as otherwise provided in this chapter.” The family of any victim that died in a pedestrian accident may have legal recourse through California Code of Civil Procedure 377.60.
